For young people aged 14-24yrs. Youth club setting which signposts young people to professional organisations according to their area of need. This includes the provision of information on further education, training and employment.

St John’s Community Centre Wembley.
Outreach work has been carried out by SWAY Staff in the area of Wembley and Alperton. The purpose of this work is to establish rapport with young people aged 11-20, shopkeepers and the local community in order to assist in reducing anti-social behaviour. The young people engaged with will be offered a listening ear, support, signposting and advocacy according to their individual needs.

– Outreach and School Projects
SWAY Project has been successful in obtaining funding from Brent’s Community Infrastructure Levy to deliver a project that meets the Neighbourhood priorities and is able to deliver a valuable service to participating local secondary schools in the Wembley and Alperton area.
* Outreach consists of Youth workers engaging in conversations with young people on the streets in the Wembley and Alperton area (out of school hours), to support the reduction of anti-social behaviour and improve community cohesion. Young people are encouraged to attend the Youth Café (based at St John’s Community Centre where they engage in social and learning activities and receive support in making informed decisions about their future aspirations, any issues of concern and signposted to professional agencies according to their area of need.
* Pastoral Care includes establishing a working relationship with the participating school and providing pastoral support for identified students e.g. mentoring and or life skills workshops. Also establishing working relationships with stakeholders in the local community
