MENTORING SUPPORT
Provision of 1-2-1 mentoring support to young people including looked after and those at risk of offending. Our approach includes supporting young people in identifying what steps they need to take to achieve their future aspirations, self-awareness, identity and addressing the challenges they face that may hinder their progress. Our Trauma informed approach assists mentors in providing the appropriate level of support for eachyoung person.
Mentoring for Moving Forward
Delivering mentoring sessions within local secondary schools, supporting students through the various challenges they face in their everyday life. This approach supports improving their mental wellbeing, self-esteem, personal and social development. Leading to the young person being in a better place to engage with their education and achieve their future aspirations.

Holiday Activities
Holiday Activities provide a safe space for children and young people where they can engage in various activities and trips that will support their personal and social development and promote their mental health and well-being. Delivering a program of various learning, social and fitness activities where opportunities are provided to develop and improve on their social and life skills.
SWAY Response Club
In response to the Coronavirus pandemic SWAY staff supported young people and their families with the provision of lunch packs, toiletries packs and groceries. Young people were also supported with the delivery of mentoring sessions, workshops and signposting information according to the individual area of need (all in line with government guidance). Providing a safe and secure space for young people to receive support in addressing any issues of concern.
Outreach
involves staff going out into the local community after school and engaging in conversations with young people to support the reduction of anti-social behaviour and improve community cohesion. Young people are encouraged to attend our Youth Club and signposted to professional agencies – where required.
Youth Club Cafe
Opportunity to engage in social activities and receive support in making informed decisions about their future aspirations and any issues of concern and signposted to professional agencies according to their area of need. Support in witing their CV’s, Personal statements, college and Job applications. All participants engage in learning discussions around current issues and are provided with a free meal (vegetarian and halal options available).
